Why Kenmore jet repair calls look the way they do
Jet work in Kenmore splits into two kinds: the mechanical — inserts, bodies, gaskets, diverters — and the hydraulic — pump output, filtration, air draw. We handle both, and we tell you which one you have before quoting.
Kenmore is Northshore Utility District territory — Seattle water at about 1.8 grains — so the fill is soft and needs calcium and alkalinity brought up before the heater runs for long. With no scale to clog them, Kenmore jets fail mechanically — worn insert bearings, cracked bodies — rather than from mineral build-up, and the repairs are correspondingly simpler.
Kenmore sits at the top of Lake Washington, with Inglewood and Arrowhead on the slopes and Uplake and Lakepointe near the water, and it is the far southeast corner of our route. We work Inglewood, Arrowhead, Moorlands, Uplake, Lakepointe and the rest of Kenmore (98028).

What Kenmore owners describe on the phone
One seat dead, rest fine
A diverter valve or a plugged manifold on that branch. Usually a valve rebuild or a cleared line.
Jets spin out of the wall
Worn insert threads or a cracked jet body. Inserts are a quick swap; bodies mean a small foam job.
Air controls do nothing
A plugged venturi line or a blower that has died. Both are simple once located.
All jets weak
A system problem: filter, pump or a diverter stuck between positions. Fixing one jet will not help; we find the restriction.
Kenmore note. Deck-mounted tubs with the equipment bay under the decking take longer; we book those as a half-day the first time.
How the visit runs
- A call half an hour before we arrive — about 20 minutes southeast via I-405 and Bothell Way
- Diagnosis with a meter, then one written price you approve
- Calcium and alkalinity checked for Northshore Utility District water
- Special-order parts arrive the next business day in most cases
- If the tub is not worth fixing, we say so
Scope, plainly: the spa and what lives inside its skirt. New circuits, supply plumbing and setting new tubs go to an electrician or a dealer.
